Signs and wonder
The early followers of the Risen Christ were not gathered in order to create a new religion. They were “people on the Way”, part of a growing movement rooted in Spirit, common life and shared resources, and prayer. Their hearts were opened by the “signs and wonders” happening in their midst, and the presence of Christ in spirit when they were together. The primary response to these mysteries was awe.
What “signs and wonders” are happening in our time to draw us deeper into the heart of God? Where do we experience awe that turns our lives around and brings us into the community of Christ’s presence and love?
