‘Who Heard Their Cry?’

In Exodus, God says, “I have heard their cry.” But as we hear Phyllis Webstad’s story and remember the Indigenous children who suffered in residential schools, we are left with a harder question: Why did so many people who claimed to follow God fail to hear them—and whose cries are we being called to hear today?
