Orange shirt sunday
In 2015, the Orange Shirt Society was formed to create awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of Indian Residential Schools with the purpose of supporting Indian Residential School Reconciliation. An orange shirt is used to honour the children who survived the Residential School System and to remember those who didn’t.
Wear your orange shirt and join us for worship this Sunday 28th September, at 10AM, with Rev. Wendy MacLean.
During coffee time, after the service, members of the Indigenous Sub-Committee will be in the gymnasium with a poster display of their reconciliation work over the last 12 years, and will also be sharing materials and information about the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Live stream will start at 9.50AM and you can message us during the service.
