A Shoot Shall Rise: Becoming People of Peace
A single green shoot rising out of an old stump — that’s the vision Isaiah begins with, and maybe it’s a vision that can guide us too. Because every Advent, and especially in this week of Peace, God invites us to notice the small, brave signs of life pushing up in us: a new courage, a deeper compassion, a hunger for justice we can’t ignore.
As we walk the road toward Bethlehem, we are growing like that tender shoot — still vulnerable, yes, but rooted in God’s promise that peace can take hold even in the coldest seasons.
