Pride Week Report

June is Pride Month across the country and Brockville celebrates their Pride Week the first full week of June. Wall Street United Church did a wonderful job being present in the community by extending an invitation to the LGBTQ2S+ community to join us for our Friday Morning Breakfast. CJ and their crew served a lovely breakfast in a beautifully decorated Lower Hall. It was wonderful to see new connections being made.

Saturday we were off to the Parade where we had a wonderful turnout from Wall Street Church to march in the Parade. Thanks to all who joined us, There was a wonderful sense of community and the sun came out just before we started walking, A special thanks to Dauna S for lending her presence and car to the parade!

Finally, on Sunday, we extended an invitation to the community to join us for a special Pride Service. The whole service was very well done, It was great to see new people joining us on Sunday. Special thanks to Samia, who wrote a beautiful song, just for the day.
